The last office doodle

July 31, 2008

Yes it’s my last day at the office today, so…

I’m bad at the mushy stuff, so I’ll spare you the agony and leave it as that. School, here I come…WAHOO! (gawd, I’m such a geek) 8]

I don’t know what I’ll name this.

Canned

July 30, 2008

I love canned luncheon meats, canned fruits, canned sardines, canned curries, canned pickles, canned tuna spread. But my latest canned obsession – cans doing the Can-can!

Dance, my babies.

The view from my chair

July 29, 2008

This is what I see when I sit at my desk. There is another desk in front of my main desk. Yes, it is that messy.

If you’re wondering what that thing on the left side is, it’s a Paymaster checkwriter! Super vintage stuff eh?

I’m so sorry Panda. She is a real sweetie in the original pic, I swear!

School of Abysmalean & Dignesian of Magic

July 26, 2008

Sorry for the 1 week hiatus, I just came back from my freshmen orientation camp, aka school of Abysmalean and Dignesian of Magic (not my school’s real name!).

To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about the camp in the beginning. But now I’m just glad I went for it. I am super impressed by the seniors who organised the entire camp. Everything was planned and executed perfectly and every detail was very nicely designed and decorated (it’s an art school afterall eh?)

It was a tiring but super fun. I’ve never went for a school orientation camp before but if you’re curious about what an art school camp like ours is like, here are some highlights.

  • Clan flag designing
  • Station games (includes life-drawing games, finding of items around the school, and the butt-abusing chair games in the school’s fountain)
  • Blind-folded night walk that ended with a scary slide & splash down the school’s hilly rooftops
  • An islandwide “Amazing Race”
  • Bidding of food items with our fake monnies
  • Beach station games
  • Mass hiphop dance (with complicated dance moves that all of us must learn within 4 days)
  • Super horrible, gross, eerie fright night which we totally did not expected (made worse by my friend’s incessant screaming at every scare point, lol)
  • Paint bomb! (like water bomb, but with acrylic paint instead)
  • Laser tag shootouts (with 3kg laser rifles!)
  • And of course, a song & dance skit item from all clans. (Involving lots of cross-dressing from the guys, muahahaha).

I thought I would hate the camp initially. But I’m surprised that right now, I’m actually missing those moments of cheering my clan, eating, sleeping, running, playing together. :)

Alright, back to more doodles next week! (Which by the way will be my last week of office doodling, I’ll be starting school officially the week after. Sobs.)

Foggy

July 17, 2008

This was what I did to my PET mineral water bottle with a black marker. This week’s IF theme is “Foggy” and I decided to give it a dark and eerie feel. Skull and black fog patterns.  Eerie enough?

I think the skull is a bit too cute though.

Vans ad

July 17, 2008

I really like the picture on the Vans ad in this month’s issue of Teen Vogue. So I couldn’t resist doing a little sketch. It took quite a while though. You can’t really concentrate that well when you have that feeling someone is watching from the GM office.

I’ve got a ticket, for all that I lack

July 17, 2008

I’m trying to imitate the style of one of my favourite artists, Entirity. Well you know what they say, imitating is the best way to learn. How else do you think monkeys learnt to fish?

Obviously not very successful though. I quickly sketched this up with a ball point pen that was running out of ink, in between looking busy with a folder propped open in front of me while boss and colleagues strolled up and down the corridor endlessly. Hmmph.
